I'm heading home today. Seems strange to be on the back side of Christmas. Now I need to re-focus. I'm glad you have a job. A paycheck is a very good thing. It slows down the writing but will, in the long, run give you the added security to move forward.
For me,
1. Get home safe and sound. Friday, I have a lot of business to take care of. I need to finish getting all the places notified of the new bank routing number. And I need to work on Aunt Marcy's life insurance. Prudential requires a lot of 'stuff' and I'll have to run around gathering it. So frustrating and time consuming but it has to be done. I'll make sure I have our hotel reservation in place for Pikes Peak writers conference. I need that done asap. So Friday is really busy doing have-to stuff.
2. Joshua has kept up with Kathy. Internet connections aren't as solid as we're used to and timing is hard but he's been keeping up. He'll get back on a regular schedule with her. He is really excited because he got his brief case for Christmas. He wants his writing etc. in it so he'll be organizing that. His artwork and writing are very important to him. In fact, I think the writing has taken precedence.
3. I need Knock Knock edited. That will be my #1 priority over the next week. Then off to editor and I can finally, finally pull together Kay's story for her. I don't anticipate that taking longer than six weeks. I'll interrupt the process to get Knock Knock live. So January and February are full. In addition, I'll be watching the online art classes and pulling together Joshua's illustrations. They are going to take a lot of time. I think I'll probably do best to just draw them. It might be quicker than trying to convert photos to art.
4. Nola told me I need to explore instagram. I hadn't given it much thought but my theory is, try everything at least once and analyze data to see if its worth the time. I'll put a few things on it and see how it works. Can't hurt.
I'm sure there are other things I need to factor in but this makes for a really busy winter. I feel like 2017 is going to be way more productive than the last 2 years.
