Joshua filled out 24 scene cards today for his picture book. The plan is for him to write one page a week, two if he can manage it. I still need to do 24 thumbnail sketches for the book. They will take longer but getting an idea of what they could be will help me visualize the project. It's going to be a huge job.

He was so proud of himself. All evening he would look at the folders where he keeps the print outs. He'd smile and chatter to himself. I could tell what a confidence boost it was to produce something tangible. I can't wait to see what comes from this book. If its nothing but a means to teach him to read and write, I'm happy. But I think it will be more. I think he will hold a book in his hands with his name as author. If we can't find a traditional publisher, I'll make sure it gets out myself. I am a publishing company. And I have extra ISBN's

I hope you get some good video of him holding his first book! I'm looking forward to the experience for myself. Having an e-book out is cool, but holding a printed book with my name on it - priceless!
