Even though I'm heading for Kansas I still want to edit. I am traveling slower so I will have more time in the motel room than usual. I intend to use that time editing. Josh will be tired and resting on the bed, watching TV. I will be bored so I'll take that boredom and work on getting Knock Knock clean enough for the editor.
Again, when Knock Knock is submitted to the editor, I will turn my attention to Chasing the Clouds. Title is not written in stone but I like it and it fits. My problem will be if somebody else has already used it. And Kay's family may have better ideas for the title than I do. I'm only ghost writing the story. Its really Kay's story and I intend her name to be on the book. I will use my publishing imprint to put it out if I have to. That will make me a legitimate publisher and not just a self-publisher.
So, those are my goals for November. Knock Knock to the editor. And Chase the Wind ready to write.

Good plan! You got this!
I have several things I would like to get done this month:
1) I am doing Nano and hope to write a rough draft on my ghost story (I have no idea how long this will be) AND I want to work on the fourth book in my Flipper series. It's started but I only have ten or fifteen thousand words.
2) I will continued to do weekly HTRYN assignments with my mystery. I also want to the do the first week's lesson with my third Flipper book because I think I want to do the HTRYN with that book also.
3) I want to get my first e-book published. I have it started but need to work through it and figure out what I'm doing. This is probably the item I need most accountability for because I've been putting it off for so long. I think I'm determined now though.
4) I'm writing a series of 5-6 flash fiction Christmas related stories. If they turn out okay I want to publish them in December. If not, I want to publish a different set of flash fiction for December. If I publish flash fiction in bundles of five I have enough for 5-6 e-books, which I plan to put out once a month starting in November.
5) I hope to have Mom's book out, but Susan has the manuscript and Debbie's working on the cover so it's kind of out of my hands.
Whew! I really need to work on getting quicker at revising. I think the HTRYN is great and is giving me a method to use, and hopefully will help me up front as I write the rough draft. Writing a book (50,000 words plus) every month is easily attainable in my opinion. If I could get to the point I can get a book revised in a maximum of eight weeks, then I should be able to get to the point of publishing a book every six weeks or so. It would be hard work, but not unreasonable, I don't think.
I want to get my flash fiction all published in small ebooks, then will combine them so I can publish them also as a printed book. Then I think I'll try to write new flash fiction to submit for publication in the hopes of reaching new readers to direct to my website. I also want to try a subscription service for my flash fiction - assuming I get good reviews and some interest. I think that's the best way to use the flash fiction to gain readers.

having a plan is always helpful. It gives direction and you are working on something at all times. Sounds like you've got a nice cross-section of work being written, in development, and heading toward publication. Once you get into a rhythm you'll begin to see continuity across the boards.

Getting editing done. Feels good to get actual work done. I have about ten chapters left to do and then I'll print it out in a hard copy and go over it for a final pass before sending it to editor. At least I should have a publishing fund in place soon. Lack of funds has been holding me back. As of Jan. 1st. 2016 I will no longer take from Peter to pay Paul. The business has to provide enough income to take care of business. If the artwork would start selling, it would help. So far, nothing I do seems to be salable. I try different techniques, different subject matter, trying to see what the market is looking for. Art is so subjective.
I need to work on illustrations. Josh is working well with Kathy but we need to be pulling his first book together. I don't see life cooperating with me until I get back from Texas in Dec.
I need to pull Kay's book together. That really won't take long if I can just block out the time.
At some point, the housework needs done, the bills need paid, the garage cleaned out so I can park in it.
I guess I need to sit down and work out a daily schedule for all these mundane chores. and then stick to it.
My dream is to earn enough money to pay somebody to do those mundane chores that I no longer want to do. I just want to paint, and write, and help Josh. I want the laundry, the dishes, the vacuuming, and all the other household stuff to just magically get done without any effort from me.

Glad you're back at it! Keep plugging away. I try to remind myself that I can't control when I will break through as a writer, but I can work hard, learn, and do everything I need to make the break through happen. If I do all I can and it never happens, well, then it wasn't meant to be. But I'm not going to look back and wonder what if.
You got this! We got this! Let's keep going and trust that one day our time will come. You have so much talent that I have no doubt your time will come!

The blanks I was seeing in my ms. were chapters that did not transfer over. I've gone back into Scrivener and found them. easy to export and insert them where they belong. Way faster than rewriting missing pieces.
I'm on the home stretch. If I can stay at this for a few hours this morning I may finish up this compiling of chapters and the initial edit. Once I get through I will print out a new hard copy and in the evenings I can read through with highlighter and find errors. I can fix the errors in the morning. I should, if I can maintain my work times, contract next week with the editor for a professional edit.
This means I can, sometime next week, lay out all of Kay's documents and fill out my scene cards. The professional edit goes fast. They typically get it back to me in a week or so. Which means I will have to find time in December to fix the ms.
When I have the edit back from the editor, I'll know my word count and will contact the cover artist to finalize the cover. I need that word count so the spine of the cover is the right size for the amount of pages.
I will need to hire a formatter. I'll see if I can find the one I used for Chaos. Or I might see if I can hire Cat. Once I have the files I need, I can upload to Amazon and Createspace. I really want this book out before Jan. 1st. we'll see if I can do it.

Great progress! Sounds like you're in a groove (at least somewhat) again. I hope you can hit your Jan 1 deadline. I think that will make you feel good about where you're at and propel you onto your next project.
