I don't know if you pop in to the WABWM thread. (Write a Book with me) under the writing discussion topic board. I posted over there this morning and thought it might be worth putting here. I was laying out my time line. Making myself accountable as many places as I can.
Struggling to get back to a normal schedule. Joshua is set up with my sister for regular practice with the tobii and she will be helping him develop and build his reading skills. He has always been an audio learner, from necessity rather than choice. Now he is switching from audio to visual and I have to admit, its fascinating to watch. I will be blogging about it on both my author website and Joshua's art website. He's morphing from being an artist to being an artist/writer.
I'm back editing Knock Knock. One solid week and I'd have it with the editor. One week. I need to stay focused. I'm on chapter 28. Once this pass is done, I need to do a read through for continuity to make sure the flow is right then its off to editor for final changes. The cover is done but once I have the final word count, I need to contact the artist and get the cover finalized for thickness of the spine. Timing has always been an issue with me. I always jump the gun on the cover and then lose momentum but I don't think it will be a problem.
The next project is lined up. It is a short story being ghost written for my cousin. I don't think it will take longer than six weeks to pull together. It's mostly non-fiction and she had all the letters, newspaper clippings, etc. I just need to lay them out, find my time line and figure out pov. It won't take long to write. so book #5 should be finished fairly fast.
Book #6 is the one I've been waiting on. Its a final book in a trilogy. I'm hoping to start writing it in Jan. and have it go live before summer.
Book #7 is the book that I think has a chance of being a break out. So, my work is laid out in front of me. Joshua has his books and art to do also. This year feels like an incredible journey to me. I have two more trips coming before Jan. 1st. so we'll see if I can maintain the schedule. I'll give it a good try.
