Compiling the few pieces of poetry I've ever written. Want to see what I've got and then figure out what I can do with it.
I couldn’t let you go.
The kindest act I could manage was to not hold you back.
I have not learned to embrace sorrow. It crushes me under its weight.
If I could only put my arms around you; hold your hand,
and let the memories surround me; I might learn how to live
after the last gentle good-bye.

This one isn't where it needs to be yet. Still working on it but I want to keep it where I can see it in relationship to the others. One Wish
I walk through this world In this time In this place In this body.
If one wish granted be At the end of this life I’d like to believe that I leave this world a better place
because I walked in it.
One Wish
I walk through this world In this time In this place In this body.
At the end of this life I’d like to believe I leave the world a better place.
Because I walked through it.

This may be my favorite poem ever. It's about my grandchildren.
Life’s Gifts The first fills me with wonder. The second gifts me with song. The third delights me with laughter. The fourth stands alone.
The wonder will never leave me. The music enriches my soul. The laughter makes me stronger. The little one makes me whole.
