Saw you got your words in. Good job done. Happy you had a nice visit with Sydney. I have electricians working in the basement. Hoping the job will be done Monday. It will be so nice having a bright basement instead of a dim one. Got a little bit of xmas shopping done today. Marilyn is in the hospital. She fell Wed. evening and was taken to Lawrence for a partial hip replacement. They will bring her back to Emporia to a rehab place. Her body weight is very low. I am afraid on this one. I'm really worried that she won't get to go back home. And if she does, it might be hospice. I think we all could be looking at a sad time. I hope I'm wrong.
I'm going to a book signing tomorrow morning. A local author is holding one at the library. I'll show up, meet her, and support her journey. I want to know the other artists and writers who live here. Its a start.
Sharon is doing good. She's growing a backbone and gaining confidence. She's starting to fix up her area of the basement. I'm hopeful that she will be happy and productive.
I'm still using the VR for cardio. I love it so much. I feel stronger, i'm breathing better, and just overall think I'm improving physically.
I'm very close to reaching a point where I sit everybody down and lay out a work schedule for all of us. We all have goals and they are all equal importance. Josh is finished with speech for this year. We're getting more comfortable with Alexa.
I'll probably start making goodie plates on, or shortly after, the 15th.

Rhonda sent me a message earlier about Marilyn. Are there any updates? I sure hope you're wrong but it does sound like a logical possibility.
I finished Nano with 50,302 words: Rex (14,194), Mystery 4 (23,617), other (11,690).
MG Horror story - I'm working on the final revision before sending it to beta readers. I figured out what I need to do with the ending and will need to write 4-5 new scenes, but I now know what they are. Made some decent progress this week but not a lot with Dad and Delores here. They drove home today.
I sold 17 books, 2 t-shirts, and a puzzle at the Christmas in the Country fair in Sedgwick yesterday. It was one of my better events. I have another in Wichita on Saturday but don't expect it to go as well. But you never know, I guess.

Thats awesome. I talked to a person at the booksigning Saturday who does marketing. I'm hoping to begin to rebuild momentum. Its been so long, I'm not sure I can, but I can try.
Electricians are supposed to come again today. I'm hopeful to get light and be able to start being in the basement at night. The tv down there is better than up here.
I want to start working on getting a clean copy of Knock Knock. I intend to carve out some consistent work hours this week. I know December will be skimpy but if I can start to get used to thinking of writing and art as a job again, it will lead to more productive 2022.

With the move I haven't gotten a lot done, but I did finally get the final scenes written - at least in rough draft form. My horror story is now a complete story but needs some attention. I play to set it aside for a couple of weeks and hope to pick it up later in January and finish by the end of the month. I'd like to get it to beta readers and have it ready to pitch at PPWC.
This week I'm starting back on my mysteries. My next two projects are to revise the fourth book and write the rough draft for book 5. I haven't decided which order yet. Working on my 2022 goals this week and I'll figure it out. I still have a lot of unpacking and settling to do, but I'm at least far enough along to return part of my focus to writing.
I think I'm going to Susan's next weekend if it works out. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

I just saw this. I have been so joyful this Christmas until Nola jumped all over me yesterday. She's still so angry at Kara and her kids that seeing pictures of them at my house for Christmas sent her into a rage. I'm trying to process that and deal with it but there isn't anything I can do to make things better so, for right now, I'm maintaining silence. I'm so tired of being put in a defensive mode. I try so hard to put good back into the world and then I get walloped upside the head for no reason that I can see.
I opened my cooking course, and I can tell I'm going to enjoy it. I gave Prairie Pastimes permission to start advertising our paintings. That will force me to start producing. JOshua got a new easel for xmas.
Again, I intend to carve consistent work time into my week. The electricians have the basement all lit up and outlets in and everything is safe and working now.
I need to write out the writing goals and see them rather than just think about them. I'm tearing the office and my bedroom apart in the next couple of weeks. I need functionality.
I have goofed up the withholding stuff. I need to fix that this week. I'll do my best.

I'm not sure. I think I need to add more money but I'm not sure. I'll go to the .gov site this week and call them if I have to.
