Toxic Intentions - Got my book trailer published and the manuscript published on Amazon, B&N, and other places. Now I need to start promoting it.
What you can't see could kill you (working title for my MG horror story) - I reached the halfway point on my revision. My goal is to finish in October so I can send it to beta readers and focus on Nano in November.

I'm still enroute home. Taking longer than I wanted but the puppy is super cute and Sharon is way more energized. I'm excited about your second book and the book signing. Love that you got a 5 star review. Great momentum. When I get home the first thing I want to do is implement work hours.

Is there a time later next week or weekend that would work for me to come over to visit and get your online tax payments set up?

Toxic Intentions - I ordered my books. They should be here the first week of November.
What You Can't See Could Kill You (the working title for my middle grade horror story) - I finished revising the third-quarter of the book. This week I plan to polish the ending and read through to see what I need to do to have it ready for beta readers.
Earth - I started working on a book trailer this weekend and got about halfway through.

I'm still struggling to put the basement in order so Sharon can live down there. Joshua and I do have our artwork on display at Prairie Pastimes so that got accomplished.
Sharon's life is a mess right now and we're trying to get it all in order but she can certainly use as much family around her as possible right now. I'm so glad you are coming.

What You Can't See Can Kill You - I'm close to being finished. I need to rewrite the last 4-5 scenes and clean up a few issues. I put this on hold for November during Nano.
Mystery 4 - One of the stories I'll work on for Nano. I've got 15,000 words to start from.
Rex (Vetrix 5) - I have around 20,000 words. Another story I'll work on during Nano.
Earth - I finished the book trailer for this book (I'm working my way through all of my books). Still need to upload and publish it.

Rhonda and Jacob and Drew and Lindsey will be here late tomorrow evening then at Nyla's on Saturday. Rhonda and Jacob will head home very early Monday morning. Drew and Lindsey will head home SaturdAY.
I enjoyed your visit. We got the big room functional. Not exactly the end result but tv is in place and working. I got my virtual reality headset. It's fun. I'm looking through photos to find reference material for paintings. I need to be painting in the next few days. The Christmas open house at Prairie Pastimes will be here before I know it. Joshua can't work fast enough to put new stuff out so that means I need to.
Getting close to moving Sharon's furniture. It needs to be done soon before cold weather hits. I'll be glad to get her moved out of there and living here with her stuff around her. She's fretting and having a hard time of things.

I wish I could come tomorrow but I have to cover a football game in Sedgwick tomorrow night. I'd love to see everyone. Do you know the plans for Saturday? Or should I check with Nyla or Rhonda? I might be able to get over there then. It depends on what my dad does. He may be heading this way, I just don't know yet.
How do you plan to move Sharon's stuff? If I'm available I'd be glad to come and help.

We missed you. For the Roth side, it was a pretty good turnout. Next year, we're hosting it and it will be in Cottonwood Falls.
Sharon has her psych eval today and tomorrow. I'll be glad when they are over. She's stressing.
Healthwise, I bought a VR headset and have committed to doing a 30 minutes cardio every evening. Since I started, which is less than a week, I have brought my morning blood sugar reading from mid to upper 200's down to 120. I'm astounded. Sharon has begun to try them. Her eye-hand coordination needs work but the more she does it, the better she will get.
Mark will use his trailer to move stuff. Finding the time to do so is the problem. I'll keep moving stuff in the basement to make room for everything. I hope everything will be moved before Thanksgiving. I am having a traditional Thanksgiving meal here with open door. Anybody that doesn't have a place to go can come here for a traditional meal. I think Jessica will probably come. Sharon will be here. Other than that, I might be eating a whole lot of turkey.
Joshua likes his new formula. Doesn't want to eat any of the old one. I do think he has an allergy and a lot of his digestive problems are easing. He feels better.
I need to set up consistent work hours. I feel like I'm getting close to that. I'm moving it higher on my priority list. If I can start feeling productive a good portion of my stress will go away.
Thank you for helping me with the withholding. I'm not sure I understand it yet but I'll learn.
I'm excited about your new book. I'll order it off Amazon. every order helps the numbers. And I'll share it on my boards to expand exposure. It looks good. I do like your mysteries very much.

I don't know what I'm doing yet for Thanksgiving. Dad is coming some time this month and it could be that week. He could show up tomorrow. He doesn't plan too far in advance, obviously. I've been known to cook a turkey for just me. I love leftover turkey and for years never got any because I always went away for the meal, so I cooked my own and froze some of the meat. Thanks for the help on the books! Every little bit helps, especially at this stage! PRG took book three to review, so I hope they like it as much as the first two. That's great about the exercise and your blood sugar. Now to keep it up! I'm glad to help with the accounting. I need to contact the state about the reports. I'll do that this week. Halstead Mysteries 4 - I wrote a bunch and am over 22,000 words. I stalled at the mid-point so I'm setting it aside for a week or so. Rex - I'm starting to work on this manuscript as part of my Nano writing. I'm starting from 21,000 words, but as I read through, some of the ideas I used in book four and some I will need to change around due to what happened in Sevitan. Air Capital Comic Con - I have a con this weekend. If it doesn't go well it may be my last for a while. I need to make money to make these things worth it.

The next ten days I'm working on painting. I need to plan for Thanksgiving and we need to figure out how to get Sharon's stuff here before the weather turns. We had a nice day in Lyons on Saturday. Nyla went with us so had a good visit with her.
Larry and Marilyn stopped by yesterday. It was good to see them. Marilyn is very quiet. Doesn't talk much but she sang to Joshua and seems happy and content. Sharon is struggling. Her lawyer has advised her not to sign the new trust. Whether she can stand against them remains to be seen but if she signs it, her assets will be out of her reach and she will be dependent on if the trustees will see fit to dole them out.
I have not missed a day with the VR headset. I feel so much healthier. my weight is slowly dropping but more than that I'm losing inches which tells me I'm finally burning fat and its visceral fat. I'm grateful I finally found a cardio workout that I enjoy.

That's really cool about the virtual reality workout. I hope I get to try it soon. I'm curious to what it feels like. I'll let you know about coming to visit, but I'm waiting to see if Dad shows up. He's been talking about coming all month but hasn't made a commitment as to when. Not unusual for him, but can be frustrating when I don't know how to plan.
Nano - I reached 26,806 words today. 7,650 is on Rex (Vetrix 5), and 14,136 has been on Halstead Mysteries 4. The rest is miscellaneous. I've jumped back and forth as I get stuck. Been writing on the mystery the last five days and have made some good progress with some good material and ideas. I am just over 1,500 words behind (I was twice that three days ago) but will easily make it up depending on what Dad does.
Air Capital Comic Con - Saturday I sold one t-shirt and was ready to never do a comic con again. Sunday I sold 9 books. If I would have had Sunday's sales on Saturday as well I would have come out ahead of my entry fee. I may do another, but they won't be high on my priority list.
Toxic Intentions - PRG requested I send them book 3 to consider for review. They gave me really good reviews so I hope they like this one too (I'm nervous!). They're on hiatus until the new year so it will be a while before I know anything.

Rex - So far with Nano I've written 10,774 words to bring me up to 31,804. In the midst of my brainstorming I have come up with an idea for what book 6 will look like.
Mystery 4 - So far for Nano I've written 18,900 which brings me up to 34,310. I really like what I have going on in this story and look forward to getting in cleaned up and revised after Nano.
Nano - I'm at 35,755 words, which is 912 behind the pace I need. That won't be hard to make up and I will be in good shape through Thursday. My concern is that Dad and Delores may come on Friday and then the last two days of the month are the two busiest days of my normal week with our newspaper deadline. It could be challenging for me to get the final few words, but I will.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Would have been better if you could have been here but Marilyn, Larry, Ron and Nita, Nyla and Mark, Abbey, Jessica, Sharon, Connie and Margo, Tati and Josh and their three kids and Christian. Christian is still here. He spent two nights here. We had a ton of food, very little of it left. For one day, I had a happy house with food, laughter, games and family.
I'm printing off four pictures this evening. Nyla and Sharon have a table at the old school for a fundraiser. Lots going on in Cottonwood Falls tomorrow. Sharon and Nyla have a space called Thanks for the Memories, Mom and Dad. They tried to show how Christmas was back in our times. It's a nice scene.
Josh and I will be at Prairie Pastimes to meet and greet. I didn't get any work done and I'm bummed about that. But Sharon has a bed set up and her wall clock hanging. She has a nice little electric stove in her area to keep the space warm. Its really cute.
I learned how to drill holes in cement. That makes me ridiculously happy. I'm planning on getting the shower tiled soon. Hopefully by next weekend.
I'm writing an article tonight. At least, planning on getting it done. We'll see how it goes.
Pop over anytime you feel like it. There is usually something going on.

That sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! I so would have enjoyed being there! I hope to come visit soon.
Sydney flew back to Kentucky yesterday morning and Dad and Delores arrived last night. I went to Hutch today to cover the 3A state championship football game. I got to sit up in the press box, which was really cool. It was my first time watching a state championship football game and the first time in a press box.
I'm less than 5,000 words from winning Nano. Keep pushing!
