I can't believe I'm this far behind! You wrote this a week ago? Sorry! I hope you've slept since then. Yes, none of the rejection is fun, but it's so nice to hear other authors speak about it, espcially the successful ones like at the conference. You set a goal to send out 5 letters so I hope you follow through. Like you said, it's a discipline. I was out of town for two weeks with work and now my dad is visiting, so I have gotten very little done. I'm going to Yates Center and setting up a display for Yates Center Day's on Saturday. I'll have my books and Trapped. I didn't make it with Aneeka (it's being formatted now), so next year.

I knew you were out of town and busy. And nothing I said was urgent. I had so many things I wanted done before the reunion and life has done nothing but throw curves at me. Joshua is doing good. I'm plagued with headaches and stress and mundane things that have to be done but I wish somebody else would do them.
I'm trying to decide about the other 4 queries. Although if I sent them out, I could get through the next four weeks knowing Knock Knock was doing something and not just sitting and waiting on me. I'm ready for a bit of life that is structured and settled and I can get up in the morning and know exactly what I'm going to do without interruption. I'm not sure that exists but I dream about it.
Good luck in Yates Center. There is nothing better than those face to face meetings with potential fans. I've bought books just because I liked the authors when I met them. We build our following one reader at a time.
I'm going to try to figure out how to set up the video camera over the weekend and start taping Josh's classes with Kathy. I want to start getting one and two minute clips for Youtube. I bought my microphone so I can start podcasting.
I've been playing around with podcast title and format but think my best bet is to make some of them and see which ones I like and which ones miss the vision I have in my head. Once I get a feel for doing it maybe the right title will come to me. I'd like to put out one podcast a month and I'd like to get six or seven of them made before I start to publish. One more way to find an audience.
I have ideas. Just little time to work on them. Although most of my ideas involve Josh and I can combine things we do. I really do need to find somebody to come in once a week and help me keep up with the housework.
Again, good luck on Yates Center days. Have a ton of fun.

Thank you! We could be fighting rain, we'll see, but it should be fun.
