I did. Seeing the look of wonder and joy on his face made me know that I did the right thing.

I'm glad it all went well! I hope to leave a week from Tuesday for Colorado Springs and PPWC. I'm excited when I'm not exhausted from trying to get things done beforehand. Can't wait!
The Most Important Thing - I did the revision of the last chapters with my editor/mentor. We agreed to let it sit for a bit and come back to it with fresh eyes.
Vetrix Prequel - Sent this to my editor. It's at 5,500 words and I hope to submit it for the PPW anthology which opens up for submissions in June. I may consider two other submissions but not sure about it yet.
Grim Mansion - Sent the first few chapters to my editor. This is the next book we're going to work through. It's at 40,000 words and I believe in better shape than The Most Important Thing so I think it should be a relatively fast revision, but we'll see once we get into it.
Birthday Cake Murder - I will get the revisions back on this on Wednesday. I hope I have time to revise next weekend before I go to PPWC. If not, I'll do it afterward. Then it will be ready for publication.

JJ and a friend of his are here this week. I'm enjoying their company. Not much going on workwise. Just enjoying family. I can't wait to here how the conference goes for you.

In the online schedule, they added the moderators names for each workshop. So now my name is plastered on a bunch of them. Not a huge deal but kind of cool!

It is cool. The more times your name gets seen the more people will recognize you.

Had another great conference! I had a slight head cold the whole time so I only operated at 70% tops, but still got through everything, learned a lot, and continued to network. I was asked to send in a few pages from my pitch (again), so I'll do that and see what happens. The editor I pitched to said she doesn't do a lot of middle grade but said my story is a perfect fit for her colleague. We'll see. I moderated for seven workshops and that all went well.
Had a great time with Rhonda. She told me all about you heading there next weekend for a psychic show in Denver. Sounds like you guys will have a great time! And Josh gets to go to the zoo. That should be cool!
Grim Mansion - I'm going through a line edit with my editor. I will start querying here in the next couple of weeks, once I catch up from my trip to the writer's conference. I got home yesterday and took today off so I should be in good shape before going back to work tomorrow. This final edit will take a few weeks. I think it's a good story but I'm worried the voice isn't right or I started in the wrong place. I don't know if my worries are justified or not.
Birthday Party Murder - I received the edits for this before my trip and meet with my editor tomorrow to discuss them. This is a short story in the Halstead Mystery series. I'll revise accordingly and get this published soon - in the next couple of months.
Vetrix Prequel - I have edits from this and need to revise. Then it will be ready to submit to the PPW anthology that opens June 1. This is a short story but some day I will write it as a full novel. I already know how it will go - just don't have time for that right now. Plus, I want to see if I can get the short story in the anthology to draw attention to the series.
PPWC - My next step is to make a list of action items from my notes from the conference. Then I'll have a list of things to do and books to ready that will last me several months.
