I only know your character from what you've told me, but I laughed when I read your title, Bite Me. That sounds so like her!
When the Time is Right - I sold 56 copies of the book yesterday! I couldn't be any happier about the way things went. Now if I can figure out how to capitalize and build off of the momentum.
I plan to spend this week planning my writing for November (nano). I think I'm going to work on both book 3 in the Halstead Mysteries and a middle grade horror story I have an idea for. Sydney said she would brainstorm the mystery with me this week. I have several stories I want to write and have been struggling with what to focus on, but I think I should concentrate mostly on the mysteries and see if I can build on what I have started since I have never had this much interest before.
It was great to see you, though I'm sad we didn't really get to visit. We are moving Sydney to Louisville the first week in November. Maybe after that we can find some time for me to come visit again. I enjoyed that!

I wouldn't have missed that launch for the world. You have a lot of support in Halstead. That says a lot about you. I was so happy to see Susan and boys. I don't get to see enough of her.
I thought your book trailer was effective and engaging. It looked like you were selling more than the mystery so the launch was exciting. I've never seen a book signing that busy. I haven't had time to read the book yet but I glanced through it and I'm intrigued. Finding a niche is important, I think, to attain a solid fan base. At least, thats what I've been told. I've yet to acquire a following but I'm simply too slow.
I was supposed to take Joshua to speech today but I can't face getting him up and on the road so early. The cold is too much for me. I'm just too old and tired to deal with it. I may drop speech until spring. or get an afternoon appointment.
