I decided that re-issuing the first two Cosmic books is a good idea. I contacted the artist Cat recommended to update the covers and make them more relevant to the times. I will bring the first one out asap. and the second one in Sept. with the third and final book of the trilogy planned for Dec. This means I have to shove Knock Knock this month. So lots of typing in the next two weeks.
I'll continue to push the new covers. I'll use Cat for the text on the covers and the formatting of the re-issue. If I'm bringing them out again, I want to correct any little mistakes I find. I'll be reading through them again in the next few weeks and marking them up. Hoping I can pull up the original text, make the corrections and then have Cat re-format for the corrections.
This means, I'll have Knock Knock out, and Cosmic ... at this point I'm wavering between Cosmic Capture and Cosmic Justice. Both fit but each one gives a different feel. Each is relevant. I'm torn.
I am pushing forward on finding a new home for the writing website. I need to have subscription capability on the new site. So, both free area and subscription area. I'm going to simplify the process and only have a flat fee. I'll do some research and see what a fair rate is. I don't want on the lowest side or the highest. I want a solid middle of the road.
I'm looking at making some contacts with store owners who might agree to let me hang artwork in their stores for a 50/50 commission split. Nyla is making a contact for me in Cottonwood Falls. I'll look around and maybe work up a brochure of my artwork and Josh's and see if I can make some solid contacts. I need outlet for our work.
My goal this year is to open streams of income. I still want to send out article queries. I need to take a couple of hours and jot down article ideas and then search for some possible markets. I bought the new Writer's Market and I also bout the SEO book. I need to read it and get a more solid knowledge of how to work the search engines.
